Meet Our Dentists and Our Staff

Dr. Mark Stanford, D.D.S.

When you choose Stanford Dental, you are choosing an experienced, caring dental office. Dr. Stanford has practiced in this area for 20 years. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his dentistry degree from the University of Detroit in 1989. When you are in his office, his goal is to make sure you are comfortable and receive the personalized care you deserve.

Dr. Stanford has received advance training in endodontics (Root Canals), which includes rotary endodontics, as well as additional classes in pain management. We are continually receiving additional training with insurance companies, to ensure all our patients receive the maximum benefits.

Dr. Stanford loves the challenge of handling emergencies immediately and caring for the nervous patient. It is very important to him for the patient to understand the procedures recommended as he thoroughly explains them.

Sheiva M - Registered Dental Hygienist

Sheiva has been in the dental field for over 19 years and a dental hygienist for 11 years. She holds her Dental Hygiene license and registered from the State of Michigan‘s Board of Dentistry. She maintains an active certification in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She is committed to a lifelong learning by attending each year in a series of continuing education courses.

In the 19 years she’s been working with Dr. Stanford, she has gotten to know so many wonderful people and their families. Working with an expert dental team and being a part of Stanford Dental family has fulfilled her passion for helping and caring for others. Sheiva prides herself in delivering outstanding oral care to every patient she treats by carefully listening and explaining in detail the best options available for each patient’s dental needs.

During her time away from the practice, she loves to travel with her husband Albert and enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Dorothy G - Registered Dental Hygienist

Dorothy graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Ferris State University in 1982 and is Certified in Local Anesthesia + Nitrous Oxide.

What she loves most about being a Dental Hygienist is working with people to help them maintain good oral health & prevent gum disease.

Marie H - Registered Dental Hygienist

Marie graduated from Ferris State university in dental hygiene. She enjoys helping her patients achieve optimal oral health.

She has two grown children. She likes reading, movies and playing with her dog Cocoa.

Debbie H - Business Administrator

Debbie comes to our office with almost 45 years of experience in all aspects of the dental field. She and her husband, Ray, have resided in Livonia for 15+ years.

In her spare time, Debbie enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, sport shooting, traveling, grilling and smoking meat. Speaking of grilling - she has 4 grills and recently had to enlarge her backyard to accommodate those grills!
